テンアートニ，OSを書き換えずにiPAQでLinuxを動かすカードを発売

テンアートニは，携帯情報端末（PDA）の「Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC 3630/3660」（以下，iPAQ）上でLinuxを動作させるためのキット「Melon（メロン）」（コンパクト・フラッシュと説明書で構成）を2001年11月20日から出荷する。価格は9800円。同社のWebサイトでのみ販売する。なお，購入予約を2001年11月1日から受け付けている。

特徴は，Melonに同こんされるコンパクト・フラッシュ（CF）を装着するだけで，iPAQのOS「Windows Powered Pocket PC」を書き換えることなく，iPAQ上でLinuxを動作させられること。MelonのCFを外せば，Windows Powered Pocket PCが動作する(ただし，Linux動作後はメモリー内のデータが消去され，iPAQは工場出荷状態に戻る)。
