Mozilla Foundationは米国時間4月21日，アプリケーション・スイート「Mozilla 1.7.13」およびメール・ソフト「Thunderbird 1.0.8」をリリースした。新版では，深刻なセキュリティ・ホールや安定性の問題が複数修正されている（関連記事）。
Mozilla 1.7.xおよびThunderbird 1.0.xシリーズのバージョンアップは今回が最後。このためMozilla Foudationでは，Thunderbird 1.0.xのユーザーに対して，Thunderbird 1.5.xシリーズにバージョンアップすることを勧めている。Thunderbird 1.5.xの最新版は，同じく4月21日にリリースされたThunderbird 1.5.0.2（関連記事）。Thunderbird 1.5.0.2は4月18日にリリースされる予定だったが，4月21日に延期された。
Webブラウザ「Firefox」の1.0.xシリーズについても，米国時間4月13日にリリースされたFirefox 1.0.8が最後。このため，Firefox 1.5.xシリーズに移行することを強く勧めている。Firefox 1.5.xの最新版は，同じく4月13日に公開されたFirefox 1.5.0.2（関連記事）。
Firefox 1.0.8については日本語版がリリースされているものの，Mozilla 1.7.13およびThunderbird 1.0.8は英語版のみ。日本語版は未リリースである。
